Pinkard Construction, a leading general contractor in Colorado, has been awarded a commendation from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Colorado for its excellent safety record in 2022. The company achieved an incident rate well below the national average.
“We are honored to be recognized by AGC for our commitment to safety,” said Dave Ruddy, Pinkard’s safety manager. “Our company culture is centered around job site safety, and we are proud of our employees for their dedication to working safely.”
Pinkard’s safety record is a reflection of its comprehensive safety program, which includes regular safety training, toolbox talks, and tailgate meetings. The company also has a strong safety culture, with employees encouraged to speak up if they see something unsafe.
In addition to the AGC commendation, Pinkard was recently awarded the AGC and OSHA’s Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE) White level in February. The CHASE program is a national safety initiative that recognizes companies for their commitment to safety.
In a letter announcing the CHASE award, Bradley Gassman Safety and Environmental Director for AGC said, "Participation in the CHASE program is a reward to a contractor for their dedication to safe working practices on their job sites and providing safety & health training to their employees. This dedication must include a commitment to continue having a strong safety program and an outstanding safety record. I am excited to see the commitment of your company in the pursuit of ZERO injuries."
“We are committed to providing a safe work environment for our employees, trade partners, and clients,” said Tony Burke, Pinkard’s president and CEO. “We are proud of our safety record and will continue to work hard to keep our teams safe.”
