Lakewood-based CM/GC and design-builder Pinkard Construction is excited to announce the hiring of Mike Hager as senior project manager. With 17+ years of experience in commercial construction, Mike brings to Pinkard a deep background as a design-builder, team builder, and collaborator. Describing himself as “a builder at heart,” Mike’s extensive commercial background includes award-winning experience in multi-family, municipal, recreation, office, transit/fleet maintenance, and healthcare.
Pinkard Vice President and Director of Construction Resources Blake Chambliss expressed confidence in Hager’s ability to bring value to Pinkard’s clients, stating: “Mike Hager has a great reputation within our industry and is a natural leader. His passion for best value collaboration is a perfect fit with our client-focused approach to team building and delivering exceptional projects.”
While Hager’s background is one of diverse project types, he specializes in general contractor-led design-build and construction management at risk (CMaR), understanding the vital need for team building, transparency, and planning to maximize best value. Mike’s many project types vary in size from $650,000 to $140 million. He is currently slated to manage some of Pinkard’s higher profile municipal projects.
Mike began his construction career in North Dakota “as a child in the sandbox, making sandcastles and little neighborhoods.” His fascination with construction continued throughout his early days culminating in more formal on-the-job-training as a laborer, carpenter, and carpenter foreman. He earned a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering with a structural design emphasis from North Dakota State University in 2011. He has been building in the Denver market for 14 years.
Mike’s award-winning efforts include national recognition from Engineering News Record and local kudos for design-build excellence from Associated General Contractors.
Mike is an avid snowboarder, dog lover, and an outdoorsman. He is married, with a nine-month-old daughter.
