Recreation gymnasium
Multiple fitness areas
Climbing wall
Indoor competition/recreation pool

A central upper-level concourse provides spectator access to the competition gymnasium and allows students to move through the building on their way to work out or attend classes.
The lower level entry is oriented to a primary campus intersection, emphasizing the building's prominence as a component of campus life.
The site, which is adjacent to the existing Student Center, create an important campus link to future on-campus housing and the recently completed Greek housing areas.
During value engineering, Pinkard identified over $2.5 million worth of items to reduce the estimated construction cost.
The structure is structural steel and load-bearing masonry. Exterior walls are masonry, metal panel, and a variety of exterior glazing systems. Mechanical systems are rooftop air handling units with indirect evaporative cooling.
For sustainable design/"green" components, particular attention was given to daylighting combined with dimming controllers, efficient steam chillers and heating systems, and an efficiency plan configuration that minimizes both heat gain and heat loss.
The project was designed and built on an accelerated, fast track, multiple-bid package basis.
